“If you can paint one leaf, you can paint the World.”
– John Ruskin, 1819-1900
February 2019 will mark the 200th year of Ruskin’s birth.
In the lead up to this bicentenary, I’ve been rediscovering his work with great thanks to RSA JFN and RSA Fellow, Hilary Baker.
In doing so, I’ve met people who’ve devoted incredible time and energy to ensuring Ruskin’s influence lives on in Japan.
This has inspired an idea – distilled for you in a video below. Hope you enjoy and please get in touch if the ideas resonate with you too: info@divyamariekato.com

Summer Sketching
Thank you to all who shared their creative struggles with me.
Last month, I sent out a question:
“When it comes to drawing and creativity, what are your biggest struggles and frustrations?”
Lack of time, inspiration and motivation topped the list and I’m continuing to work through your answers and cheer you on.
Thank you to Metropolis Magazine and Lisa Matsumoto for your recent feature helping me encourage more people to explore their creative side and enjoy drawing.
If you’re ready, if you’ve always wanted to or if you’re thinking about it, you’ll find all you need right here.
